Family Care was launched in 2007 for a fast-growing consumer audience: older people, those self-managing health or disability needs at home, family carers, and organisations supporting this large community of New Zealanders.

20,000 print copies of Family Care are distributed directly to individual subscribers and partner organisations every three months. The magazine is also a core resource in national charity Carers NZ’s free information packs for family carers, distributed directly to consumers on request, and via a wide range of charitable, community, health, service, and government organisations.

During 2012 Family Care digital editions were launched for those who prefer to read their books and magazines on a tablet or other device. Special digital editions will be available later in 2013 for readers with an interest in self-care and wellbeing.
